We know that navigating the territory of illness and aging in your pet can be confusing and overwhelming, and it’s our mission to give you support and guidance through this process. You may have questions about what to expect as your pet’s condition progresses, or perhaps you want help understanding whether or not your pet is still "happy". You might be feeling that it's time to say goodbye, and would like reassurance that you're making the right decision. Perhaps you don’t know what you and your pet need, beyond support and guidance–that’s okay!
We are happy to come to your home and evaluate your pet; we're committed to helping you make the decisions that feel right for you and your family. During these visits, we'll discuss different ways to evaluate your pet's quality of life, as well as factors you may want to consider when thinking about saying goodbye. We typically do not prescribe medications at this visit, but if appropriate, we may suggest options for you to discuss with your regular veterinarian. If we decide at this appointment that it is indeed the right decision to say goodbye--we'll schedule another in-home visit at a time that feels right for you.
To give you all the time you need, we reserve 75 minutes for each Quality-of-Life Consultation.
